Today’s Farm Picture Friday is of our daughters picking “flowers” in the hay-field. We spent the whole afternoon and most of the evening outside enjoying the beautiful day yesterday.
One of the reasons I started this blog was to share what fun, unique, different things that farm/country kids get to do. It is not always work here on the farm. There are many fun things to do that only require you stepping outside. Last night as we went on an adventure in the pasture the kids got in the mud, found sticks, played with the dog and even walked through the culvert that runs under the gravel road. They crawled under electric fences, climbed gates, picked the “flowers” out of the hay-field and hooped and hollered. (I need to spend a little more time educating them on the difference between flowers and weeds that look like flowers.) They made the most of their evening outside and I feel very blessed that I got to witness it.
A kid in the country or the city, what was one of your favorite things to do as a child?
Blessings to you,
