Always a smile on their face and a race to be run.

Day 19 – Play

Today has been a busy one. We worked hard today taking advantage of the good November weather we are having. Some dirt work was done, gutters were cleaned, fire wood was carried in and the basement was cleaned. Even with all of that, our girls still found time to take a few minutes and play.

30 Days of Photos – Day 8 Harvest

The simple things in life are what matter. Like simply diving into a pile of corn.

Day 8 – Harvest

Like with today’s election, I had multiple choices to use for my picture today. I had the choice of a picture of my farmer father standing on the steps of the combine with his I Voted sticker proudly on his chest. I had another picture of our 13-year-old son proudly standing on the tractor he loves to drive in the field. Then I had this picture. A picture of our daughter playing in a pile of corn without a care in the world and I knew, as great as the other pictures are, this one says so much. For me it says that no matter what this day brings, it is a good day because we are here together and we are doing the things that we love to do. One only needs to choose to put a smile on their face and dive into whatever opportunity may come their way. Maybe even a pile of corn.

30 Days of Photos – Day 4 Work

After a great day with friends shopping, I come home to my three farm hands and they are working.

Day 4 – Work

Kids are amazing to me. We had told them yesterday that the windows on the Gator were needing to be cleaned and that that was a job they could do after they got home from school. That is exactly what they were doing, work, and doing to well together.

Farm Picture Friday #50 – Change

Farm Picture Friday #50 by Country Linked

CHANGE

I love this picture of the Country Link Kids. They have grown, changed and developed so much in the two years of this blog.  When COUNTRY LINKED was started, two of them were in school full time and the littlest one was only 3 years old.  Now they are all in school and this farm mama is home, by herself most of the day.

With all of the change going on right now, from the changing of the seasons to the change in routine, now seemed like a good time to reflect on my blogging journey and the look of the blog.  We all evolve and change so why not a blog?  Welcome to the changed COUNTRY LINKED!

*I hope you notice the new blog header.  It was designed by the lovely Erin Enhel.  She does fantastic work if you need design work done or photos taken.  Thanks Erin!

Blessings to you,
